About me

Hi, I’m Aurora, the Vet Nurse. I’ve been passionate about veterinary nursing since I was 15 years old and have specialized in Canine Rehabilitation since 2017. My brand was established in 2022 when I recognized a gap in the market where pet owners were feeling frustrated and wishing they had started preventive care for their pets sooner. This led to the creation of my in-home and studio visits, where our mission is to help dogs live pain-free, happy lives.

I have furthered my expertise with studies in canine hydrotherapy and canine myotherapy. My love for animals and dedication to supporting and understanding pet owners drive my work every day.

End-of-life care is not limited to dogs in the end stages of sickness; this program applies equally to a senior 12-15-year-old dog with arthritis. I created this program to assist owners in caring for their dogs to the end of Life.

Hydrotherapy Under water treadmill

Hydrotherapy for dogs is a medical practice that uses water to relieve dogs of certain joint and bone pains and problems. Hydrotherapy or more specifically, canine hydrotherapy basically uses the main properties of the water namely buoyancy, viscosity, hydrostatic pressure, and resistance.

Such properties of water enable dogs to flexibly move their joints. Water makes the dog’s body buoyant by actually supporting the weight of the body when submerged. Your dog, as a result, no longer needs to fight gravity. The buoyancy of the water minimizes the stress on the joints, creating a safe environment for recovery from joint injuries as such.
Hydrotherapy for dogs is particularly beneficial when recovering after surgery of the joints or bones. It benefits dogs that are suffering from degenerative joint disease or are perhaps, partially paralyzed. Water therapy further improves conditions like hip dysplasia, amputation of a limb or simply, arthritis due to old age.

Hydrotherapy is about 10% of the work needed in a fully rehabilitation program and preparing your dog for treadmill is such an necessary part of any program so your pet does not get stuck doing 2 minute intervals when they can be so much better prepared for this exercise.

Nail Trimming

We take a stress-free approach to trimming your pet’s nails in the comfort of their own home (behaviour permitting)

Ear Cleaning

  • A$15

Regular ear cleaning can help prevent the build-up of dirt and wax that commonly lead to ear infections. We will give your pet’s ears a deep clean by using an ear cleaner specifically designed to prevent debris build-up and manage conditions such as otitis externa.

Anal Gland Expression

  • A$80

Is your pet scooting or a bit smelly from the rear end? Animals have glands that, when full, can make a pet feel sore and uncomfortable. We ease their pain helping them to express impacted anal sacs.

Dental Clean

  • A$40

Does your pet have trouble eating, excessive drooling, or smelly breath? These symptoms may be due to the build-up of tartar and plaque on your pet’s teeth. During a dental clean, we will discuss general dental care and brush your pet’s teeth (behaviour permitting) to prevent the build-up of tartar and plaque. We provide you with a dental kit and show you how to brush your pets’ teeth at home.

Flea & Worming Treatment

  • A$49

We will take the stress away by providing a treatment that protects your pet from fleas, mites, ticks, lice and the most common intestinal worms for three months.

Medication Administration

  • A$20

Has your vet prescribed pills that your pet simply won’t swallow? Vet nurse to the rescue! We’ll come to your home and administer tablets or injections for you.

Routine Post-Operative Checks/Stitch Removal

  • A$30

We work with your vet to provide in-home post operative checks and stitch removal for all routine surgeries including spays, castrates and lump removals. We will give your pet a full health check and provide an update to your vet on your pet’s recover

Dry Hygiene Clip

  • A$20

We will clip knotted or matted fur from your pet without the need of anaesthetic or sedation. This is done in a stress free way that leaves your pet feeling pampered. Please note: Although we don’t provide a full grooming service, we will do our best to remove any problem areas whilst leaving your pet looking sharp.
